Who can participate in competitions?
Any Club member can attend, as well as guests and prospective members. Though members are not required to enter photos, the competitions and critiques are aimed at helping us improve our photography skills. Attendance and participation are encouraged but not required.
How can I become a member?
The Club’s “Membership Application” is available from our website and can be requested at a meeting.
What else is offered besides competitions?
The Club meetings include presentations and workshops. Travel and events include field trips to learn and shoot; these field trips build camaraderie and teamwork. Competition rules, tips, etc. are discussed at meetings and available as handouts.
Do I need an expensive camera to become a member or enter the competitions?
No. Lots of club members start off using point-and-shoot cameras. Many continue to use these cameras and never purchase an SLR or DSLR. If you decided to purchase a new camera, talking to other club members is an invaluable resource in helping you select one.
What is the FORESTERSCAMERACLUB at Yahoo Groups?
Foresters Camera Club “Group” information is presented in “Yahoo Groups”. Viewers must first be an FCC Club Member, and then register and sign in to “Yahoo Groups” on the internet. Members can post messages to one another. You can share information, buy or sell equipment, etc.
