I told myself I was done buying camera equipment but then I ran across an interesting item which by camera equipment standards is fairly in expensive. The Raynox 250 Super Macron Conversion Lens is a filter that snaps over your lens and turns it into a macro (or almost) lens. I was thinking of trying it on my 105mm macro and trying to get more than 1:1 (already feeling the pain of razor think depth of field). At a little over 70 bucks, I think I will take the plunge and those of you that do not have a macro, this may be a good entry. Easier than using extension tubes, it also has good reviews for sharpness, check it out. http://www.raynox.co.jp/english/dcr/dcr250/indexdcr250eg.htm Available thru many outlets that sell camera equipment.
