We all know that our photography can get pricey. Listed in this post is 2 examples on how to ease the pain a little.
Rent. For those of you that don’t know that you can rent equipment…you can! Whether you just want to use the equipment one time or want to test before you buy, this is a great service.
Locally, there is ProCam in Aurora. While they do not have an extensive selection, they do rent the more popular cameras and lenses. FCC members have used ProCam rentals and the experience has been positive. There are a few more local rentals in the Chicago area, just Google it.
On line rental services. The big ones I am familiar with is lensrentals.com and borrowlenses.com. Both are reputable. There are others, again, Google.
The second savings tip is applying for the PayBoo credit card through B&H Photo. The savings is the sales tax is payed by them, not you. The caution is to pay the bill in full when due or there is 29% interest. This is how I have bought most of my equipment the last few years, I like it.
